Transitional Housing
HopeHouse OKC’s Transitional Housing Program provides families experiencing homelessness a fully furnished apartment for 1 year and an opportunity to rebuild their lives. There are many obstacles to overcome in order to break the chains of poverty and homelessness. Because these obstacles are unique for every person, we create individualized action plans with each resident family designed to meet their goals and dreams for the future. Families work on things such as: restoring their driver’s license and securing transportation, legal relief, GED completion, continued education, resume development, job training, job placement, money management, and healthy living, just to name a few.
Our goal at HopeHouse OKC is not just to provide housing for people, but to truly walk with them from poverty to security. Upon completion of their action plan, HopeHouse OKC works with the family to find permanent affordable housing for the long-term future.
